![]() We believe this is ideal for the Texas A&M community because we can retain the close brotherhood of a small organization while having the community impact of a large one. ![]() Theta Rho values being a medium-large size fraternity. Unlike other groups, we value quality over quantity. Founded at Yale in 1845, it is the 10th oldest Greek letter fraternity in the United States. Our first year proved a major success, and we officially chartered in fall 2017. Alpha Sigma Phi (), commonly known as Alpha Sig, is an intercollegiate men's social fraternity with 181 active chapters and provisional chapters. Though we are still a relatively new chapter on campus, our chapter is growing in size and influence. Numbers have settled to 41 active members for the start of the fall 2019 semester. Theta Rho was installed as a Provisional Chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi on Novemin a ceremony lead by Assistant Director Grothause and attended by Grand Chapter Advisor Dehaven. The initiation took place at the Lincoln Recreation Center in College Station, TX. Its purposes are to recognize and promote high scholarship among students actively engaged in collegiate preparation for professional services to keep abreast of the advances in. Members from the Theta Delta Provisional Chapter were in attendance to assist, as well as Theta Rho’s Grand Chapter Advisor Brian Dehaven, Toledo ’89. The Alpha Kappa Omega chapter of the national criminal justice honor society Alpha Phi Sigma was chartered at Texas A&M University-Commerce in 1997. The initiation was coordinated by Assistant Director of Chapter Development Jay Grothause, Bowling Green ’10 and Ritual Education Team Member David Garcia, Iowa State ’05. Our membership is filled with college women, regardless of religion, who honor our values and respect our heritage.On Novem62 men were initiated into the Theta Rho Provisional Chapter of Alpha Sigma Phi at Texas A&M University. While we honor our roots, we are not a religious sorority by any means. The university also has six Multicultural Greek Council organizations (MGC): Lambda Theta Alpha, Sigma Lambda Gamma, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Omega Delta Phi. Throughout the past century, Alpha Epsilon Phi has built upon the foundation set by our seven Jewish founders. AEPhi welcomes hundreds of new members each year with open arms and seeks not only to live up to the ideals and goals of its original founders, but also to exceed them. Alpha Epsilon Phi Sorority was founded by seven Jewish women, Helen Phillips, Ida Beck, Rose Gerstein, Augustina "Tina" Hess, Lee Reiss, Rose Salmowitz and Stella Strauss, at Barnard College in New York City on October 24, 1909.
